Fans of “Landman” Won’t Have to Wait Long — New Season Drops in November
If you’re a fan of the TV show Landman, good news — the wait for the next season is almost over.
It feels like just yesterday we were seeing casting calls for extras and spotting photos of actors hanging out in the filming locations. The excitement has been real for the people living where the series is both shot and set.
I have to admit its extra fun when Lubbock is mentioned, or Red Raider gear is shown on the show.
Landman has been a huge hit, and I have to agree — it’s a fantastic show. It comes from Taylor Sheridan, the creative force behind Yellowstone. For context, I’m no Sheridan superfan. I’ve skipped Yellowstone and all of the “Dutton Family” spin-offs, dropped Tulsa King after finding it lackluster, but thoroughly enjoyed Lawman: Bass Reeves.
That’s why I can say with confidence: Landman stands on its own. My only nitpick? Every so often, the show leans too hard on extended country-music-backed scene-setting, which can feel a bit like sitting through a music video you didn’t ask for.

Billy Bob Thornton Steals Every Scene
The magic really happens when Billy Bob Thornton is on screen. While some viewers grumble about the behavior of the characters who play his wife and daughter, I see their value — they give his character purpose, drive, and someone to fight for.
Landman is streaming on Paramount+ and is also available for purchase through several platforms at a modest cost. Best of all, the series will return in November, much sooner than most fans expected.
