Learn How to Make Your Own Tamales This Weekend At The Rawlings Community Center

If you’re like me nothing is better than some homemade tamales when it’s cold.

Again, if you’re like me you have no idea how to make them so you have to rely on friends to bring you some.

Well, this week you can learn to make tamales yourself.

Friday/Saturday the Rawlings Community Center will host a two-part Tamale Making Workshop.

On Friday, November 10 (6:00-8:00 p.m). you can learn to make the meat filling, and then on Saturday, November 11 (10:00-2:00 p.m) come back and finish up the process by learning to work with the masa assembling the tamales.

By the end of the of the day on Saturday you'll be able to walk away with a half-dozen tamales that you made.

If you’re interested you have to register by this Thursday, November 9.

Registration is just $20.00 per person for the two-day workshop and includes all supplies.
