West Texas Wrestling Promotions Team Up For “Ground Zero” This Saturday

This is the kind of collaboration we’re talking about!

I love independent wrestling, at least the vibe of it. It has a punk rock aesthetic, and I can get behind that.

Once upon a time, there were many regional wrestling promotions that were then gobbled up by the big brands. That’s okay, at least it brought a lot of attention to the product.

Independent wrestling refused to die, though. There are people with a dream to make it to the big time, and there are people who know this is as far as they will go and still do it because it’s in their blood.

Now, we have three wrestling companies teaming up for one big event. It certainly doesn’t look like they’re going to combine or anything; they are just going to work together to put on one “superevent.”

Three Promotions Team Up This Saturday In Levelland

BCW, Lubbock Wrestling 101, and Squared Circle Pro are teaming up for an event this Saturday in Levelland called “Ground Zero.” It’s a first-of-its-kind wrestling event at the Mallet Center. Each of the organizations will put on three matches for a nine-match card.

In addition, fans are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to benefit the South Plains Rural Health Food Bank. A donation will get you a raffle ticket for some fun prizes.

Doors open at 5:30, with first bell at 6:30. This sounds like a great chance to support local wrestling, help a good cause, and maybe see somebody get folded up like a lawn chair in the process.
