This is a fun event!

Do you want to party with your dog? How about partyin' with other dogs?  Okay, how about just having some coffee and some fun? If your answer to any of that was "yes!", then you are invited to attend the Lions Club Bark & Brew 2021.

Let's get to it. Bark & Brew will offer up some really fun dog-related events from one to six next Sunday (the 19th) at The Two Docs Brewing Company at 502 Texas Avenue.

Among the many events are small dog, special-need, and wiener dog races. They will also host a Cutest & Motliest dog contest and wait for it....a dog costume contest and parade (keep in mind this isn't the lawless old west, you'll need to show shot records and pay a registration fee).

In addition, they'll pack in a dog photo contest, dog adoptions and they'll even have a kids area (presumably so you can let them play while you have fun with the dogs).

There's more too with live music, food trucks and more. It sounds like a dog-gone dandy way to spend a Sunday afternoon. You can find out more by visiting here.

The RockShow had an opportunity to visit with Terry Hawkins from the Lubbock Lions Club and we put her on the spot about what the difference is between "wiener dog racing" and "Lions Club Dachsund Racing". We also visited on what this wonderful event's real purpose is (spokesdog "Jack" had nothing to say, he just sat around and looked cute).
