Louie Louie’s Piano Bar Calls It Quits

A Lubbock favorite is closing its doors.

Just about 5 p.m. on Monday, Louie Louie's Piano Bar posted on their Facebook that they were closing their doors for good.

Louie Louie's has been a Lubbock favorite for 12 years, and the lack of a college crowd due to being closed during the COVID-19 pandemic no doubt made it a challenge for them. They did sign off on a very up note:

We've enjoyed singing and laughing with you, and appreciate the wonderful efforts of our staff through the years

The bar also has a Dallas location and plans to keep it open. Maybe you can meet up with some old friends and enjoy the Metroplex location.

...And just like that, the Depot District shines a little less bright.
