Honestly, I'm Proud of Us

We live in Lubbock, which is basically an island surrounded by a vast sea of wind turbines and ranches. Maybe somebody who frequently travels to Dallas or Austin might clock that Coach bag is so 2025, but imagine having so little personality as to say something about it out loud. Imagine caring about something so embarrassingly trivial.

Yeah...we don't. I'm proud we are more cattle than new-for-summer-2026 hat, so to speak.

I was raised to get a thrill out of a good deal- the hunt is part of the joy of the purchase for me. And in a culture that wastes so much, discount shopping keeps items from being destroyed and disposed of in overflowing dumpsters (honestly, that should be illegal, but I digress).
