Yates Flooring Makes Major Move To New Shopping Center In Lubbock

Yates Flooring, which has been serving the Lubbock community for 50 years, is now set to make a major move. Located at 19th & West Loop 289 for many years, Yates will now be located at 12109 Quaker Avenue, near brand-new locations of Ulta, Ross, Burlington, Five Below, and more.

Yates Flooring To (Barely) Close For Move

Yates is only closing early Friday, August 21st at 1 p.m., and Saturday, August 22nd, and will be back open Monday, August 24th at the 1222nd & Quaker location (Yates is always closed on Sundays). That's a tight turnaround for such a huge move, but one that will allow customers the most access to their store and services.

About Yates Flooring In Lubbock

Yates has been family-owned and operated since the mid-60s in Lubbock, but has expanded to serve the Midland/ Odessa and Amarillo areas, too. Yates' model is to purchase high volumes of flooring so the savings can be passed to the customer, and to keep a large inventory of flooring in-store for the customer's convenience.

"If you build it, they will come," and it seems like "it" is infrastructure. Areas in south Lubbock are absolutely booming with housing and businesses, including all these new stores near where Loop 88 meets Quaker. Lubbock loves to spread out (me too, I like the elbow room), and it is exciting to see my hometown grow up.
