From Idea to Table: The Mission Behind Lubbock’s Culinary Co-Op
What is Lubbock's Culinary Co-op? It's a commercial kitchen, a classroom, and a place to grow dreams into realities. Also, a great place to drop in for a delicious bite!
What the Culinary Co-Op Does
The Culinary Co-Op (5044 Frankford Ave #900), owned and operated by Chef Sherry Bolton, functions as a shared-use commercial kitchen. Members can rent time in a fully licensed and health-approved space to prepare food legally and safely. This is especially important for small startups that cannot afford the high cost of building or maintaining a private kitchen. Or if you simply need more space/ access to professional equipment.

Beyond the physical space, the co-op often provides guidance on permits, food safety, and basic business skills. For many participants, this support can make the difference between a hobby and a sustainable source of income.
Who It Serves
The co-op is designed for a wide range of people. Some are home cooks testing a business idea. Others are food truck owners or caterers looking for a reliable prep space. It can also serve individuals who face financial barriers but still want to enter the food industry. The co-op also holds classes for folks learning to cook/ those who would like to teach.

The co-op also has a dessert case- pop in to try something exciting and new!
Why The Culinary Co-op Matters
Lubbock folks are getting access to follow their dreams. I really don't need to say anything more than that. That is BEAUTIFUL.
