Feed King Farmer’s Market Is A Hidden Gem Worth The Short Drive
I don't know if there would be such a thing as "too many farmers markets."
The Feed King Farmer's Market is open for the season, and the fun has already started.
A Fresh New Farmers Market Experience Near Lubbock
Are you looking for farm-fresh eggs, home-baked breads, and cool art? You'll find that, plus veggies and more, at this new, upstart farmers market. It's off to a modest start, but it is certainly laid out well and ready to rock.
This past week was our second visit, and we came away with our bellies and arms full. We scored some amazing Filipino biscuits/bread that disappeared in record time, as well as some of the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had in my life (and this I will SWEAR on).
Oh, and the reason we visited? Another visit to Roosters Grill food truck.
If you're out early, you may want to pick up a heavy breakfast burrito. As for me, I kind of threw down with a jalapeño sausage wrap, an extra-long and super-delicious corn dog, and half of my wife's walking taco/Frito pie.
Yeah, I was hungry.

Great Food And Friendly Faces At Feed King Farmer’s Market
There is one more thing I need to mention. First, you need to know that I used to work in an amusement park, and the ride I worked was right above the funnel cake shop. I even took one of the funnel cake girls out on a date.
I tell you this because I want you to know the funnel cake I had out at the farmers market was better than the ones the pros served up.
The market gets rolling about 9 a.m., and you'll see a bunch of friendly faces from New Deal and beyond. It's less than a fifteen-minute drive from Lubbock and very easy to find.
