The 4th of July is right around the corner, and we have you hooked up.

First things first, I guess I have to remind you that fireworks are not legal inside Lubbock city limits. Find yourself a nice spot outside of town to light them up, and be a good person by picking up your mess when you're done. Next up, fireworks should always be handled responsibly, safely, and yada, yada, yada.

We all know what we're supposed to do with fireworks, so let's just settle for this: Be careful!

I do like the idea of setting them off outside of town because I don’t like upsetting pets and vets. Beyond that, I think we do okay. I say, "I think we do okay," because apparently fireworks restrictions don't apply in my neighborhood, and I have to admit, I enjoy watching and sometimes participating in the festivities.
