Escape Your Body Float Center, a Lubbock health spa that offers guests float therapy in state-of-the-art private water tanks, shared on social media that they will be closing their doors at the end of September after 14 years in operation.

What We Know

The company announced back in May of this year that they were going to call it quits, but were able to continue pushing through for a few more months. Unfortunately, it looks like they've reached their limit, and Lubbock will now have one less therapeutic and innovative business in town.

Gift Certificates From Escape Your Body Float Center

If you've been holding onto a gift certificate, now is the time to cash it in and use it! The business will still honor your free sessions, so make sure you pop by and visit before it's too late. You've got a little over a month, and if you've never utilized float therapy, I highly recommend it. You'll love it. It's a shame you won't be able to book future visits.

 More About Float Therapy

Float tanks are like fancy big bathtubs, equipped with lights on the inside, and water with large quantities of special salt dissolved into it. This makes the person using it very buoyant, giving them the ability to float seamlessly for a relaxing duration. You can choose a "sensory-deprived" experience and float in darkness, or you can opt to leave the lights on.

Thank You For Years of Float Therapy

Thank you for serving the Lubbock community for 14 years, Escape Your Body Float Center! We wish you all the best. It's a shame that a city this size couldn't keep the doors open for you guys, especially after over a decade in business.

If You Haven’t Been to the Texas Tech Museum in Years, Here’s What You’re Missing

The Museum of Texas Tech University is free to the public and open every day of the week, aside from major holidays. Hours vary slightly. You can find more information here.

Also, I'd like to apologize in advance for my photos. They aren't the greatest. I also didn't capture most of the art because it's much better in person, and I want to leave some things for you to discover on your own. Can't spoil it all!
