Lubbock snuck into the top 60 in a recent Halloween survey.

Lubbock may not be known as “Halloween Headquarters,” but it still managed to scare up a respectable spot in this year’s Best Cities for Halloween survey. Perfect Weather Gives Lubbock the Edge in National Halloween Rankings

What really gave Lubbock an edge? According to WalletHub’s data, our unbeatable fall weather took the top spot — literally. Lubbock ranked #1 in the nation for “Best Halloween Weather,” making it the perfect place for trick-or-treating, outdoor haunts, and costumed chaos.

The study also ranked Lubbock #60 for Trick-or-Treater Friendliness and #67 for Halloween Fun, based on factors like haunted houses per capita, potential trick-or-treat stops, and access to fall attractions. While some might argue the city was underrated in those categories, the overall showing proves that Lubbock’s spooky spirit is alive and well — even if it’s wrapped in a church bulletin.
