Lubbock! Here Is Your Personal Invitation To The Drowning Pool Show
How cool is it that C.J. Pierce filmed a special invite to next Fridays show?
History
Our association with Drowning Pool goes WAY back. We remember when Dave "Stage" Williams introduced "Bodies" to the crowd at South Beach by beating a snow shovel against the floor. The snow shovel gag ended up being quite the regular thing for Drowning Pool until they moved up, and I really can't believe we never asked, "Why do guys from Texas have a snow shovel to begin with?".
Gratitude
Drowning Pool have down so much for Texas and for Lubbock in particular. Right outside of our studio we still have the poster for the Jagermeister Tour that the dirty D.P. brought to town. We know FOR A FACT that Williams demanded that Lubbock be included in the itinerary for that tour and that helped put us on the map with other bands not just for that show, but for the future as well. We owe a huge debt of gratitude for that little favor.
Thanks Again
We also have returning singer Ryan McCombs to thank for one of the most transcendent moments we've ever had in the FMX studios. The band performed a chilling version of their hit song "37 Stitches" that we still treasure to this day. We also had the band play an acoustic set at the Buddy Holly Statue that was simply amazing.
The Show
The band returns to Lubbock next Friday, the 13th for a special Toys For Tots show. The cost of admission is a ticket and a new unwrapped toy. Tickets can be picked up in advance at Ralph's Records. This is a huge homecoming for the band and we hope you'll get out to see them and support this very special show. And now, a word from C.J. Pierce:
