If you want to see what a real all-star Lubbock music lineup looks like, then look no further.

This Saturday, it’s the “For The Kids” benefit in the Abuelo’s Courtyard in Lubbock, and this lineup is stacked. I am honestly stunned to see so many old friends and familiar names all on one bill. Of course, I also know these people have amazing hearts to go right along with their amazing talent, so maybe it should be expected.

The event features a full day of music, food, drinks, and friends, all benefiting the Children’s Home Of Lubbock.

Who Is The Mystery Guest?

With so many great names on the bill, there’s one question I can’t get past: who is that “Special Guest” at 7:30?

Do you think it’s someone big, or just an open space waiting to be filled? Who wouldn’t want their name mentioned in advance? If they’re trying to tease us and build a little mystery, then mission accomplished.

I’d also like to shine a spotlight on former FMX air personality Michael X-Ray Corbin, who hits the stage at 11:30. That sounds like the perfect time to drop by, grab some tacos, and rock out with an old friend.

The “For The Kids” benefit happens this Saturday in the courtyard at Abuelo’s at 82nd & Quaker from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is by donation, with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Home Of Lubbock.

It’s great music for a great cause, and a reminder of just how much talent and heart we have right here in Lubbock.
