Lubbock Man Claims He Was Randomly Shot Outside of a Club
A man who says he just recently moved to Lubbock told police that he was randomly shot while walking towards a club on Sunday, August 29th.
KAMC News reports that the victim, who has not been publicly identified, arrived in a private vehicle to Covenant Medical Center's Emergency Room. The victim said that he didn't know the person who dropped him off. In fact, he'd only been in Lubbock for around a month, and didn't even know which club he was at before.
The exact details concerning the alleged shooting remain unclear.
While being treated for wounds that were located on his right hip, an off-duty officer with LPD looked the victim over and found various amounts of cash and baggies of marijuana on them.
The officer asked the victim if he typically sold marijuana at clubs he wasn't familiar with, but the victim said that he bought it as is and was not selling. In regards to the cash, the victim said he wanted to avoid leaving it in his car.
The victim was released at that time and has not been listed in the Lubbock County Detention Center.
