A Lubbock man was in the emergency room on Tuesday, July 21st after he says he was stabbed by his stepdaughter.

KAMC News reports officers were called to University Medical Center at around 12:30 a.m. and found the victim, who hasn't been identified.

The victim says that he and a roommate had been driving around when they saw his stepdaughter walking down the street. They offered to give her a ride and she agreed.

The victim says she was acting differently, "possibly dealing with mental health issues."

Later, she asked to instead be dropped off at a friend's house.

While the victim and stepdaughter were outside by a van, which the victim was cleaning out, the stepdaughter allegedly entered through a side door and began stabbing the victim. He suffered 2 lacerations.

The suspect hasn't been located, and was reported to be homeless.
