Lubbock Man Shoots Brother for Assaulting Their Grandmother
The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office says that a Lubbock man shot his brother for assaulting their grandmother the night before.
Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 400 block of North County Road 1300 for a domestic disturbance. This was at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15th.
The night before, the owner of the residence, 76-year-old Patricia Lynn Mills had allegedly been assaulted by her grandson, 22-year-old Kit Kaiden Abram. What exactly led to the assault, along with the details concerning the assault itself, were not made clear in press releases. It was confirmed, however, that an investigation was underway into the altercation that happened that night. Appropriate charges will be filed once that investigation is concluded.
Because of this, Kit's brother, 26-year-old Dallas Austin Delmere, confronted him. An altercation broke out between the 2. At some point, Dallas is said to have entered the residence without permission before shooting Kit a single time. Kit was transported to University Medical Center, where he remains with non-life-threatening injuries.
Dallas remains booked in the Lubbock County Detention Center for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
