Lubbock Parents Only Have One Day Left to Grab This Great Deal
Twice a year, Target puts on an amazing promotion that allows parents to bring in their old, broken, and expired car seats and get 20 percent off the price of a new one. Don't need a car seat anymore? No problem! They'll also apply this discount to big ticket baby items, like strollers, high chairs, play yards, and more.
When you consider the fact that children outgrow their infant car seats pretty quickly and it's not recommended that you buy used safety seats, this is a spectacular way to upgrade without breaking the bank. It's also a great strategy for saving money on a gift for someone with young kids or a baby on the way.
In order to participate, simply download the Target app onto your mobile device. Then, when you get to the store, put the car seat in the bin and scan the barcode that's located on the side of the drop off box. This will give you a digital coupon that can be redeemed until October 8th, 2022.
The Target Car Seat Trade-In Event has been going on since 2016, and in that time the big box store has helped to facilitate the recycling of almost 30 million pounds of car seat materials. Instead of throwing your seat in the trash when your kids have outgrown it, head to one of our two local Targets and help the environment and yourself.
Keep in mind this event only continues until the end of day tomorrow (Saturday, September 24th), so make sure to head on over as soon as possible. The next event will likely not be until April of next year.
Two last tidbits: First, if you're a Target RedCard holder, you will get an additional 5 percent off of your purchase. Secondly, if you buy a new car seat before 10 a.m. on Saturday, you can head out to a free event where you can get it installed. However, if you're busy on Saturday morning, TxDOT can also install it for free at anytime. You just have to seat up an appointment.
Happy shopping!
