Officers with the Lubbock Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that happened the morning of Sunday, December 6th.

KAMC News reports that the incident was first reported at around 10:15 a.m. Officers responded to the 2300 block of 39th Street.

It's said that the victim was transported to University Medical Center. They were later pronounced deceased. The identity of the victim has yet to be released by police.

It's being reported that police are currently searching for a Hispanic male driving a 2-door gray Chevrolet Cobalt. A name for the suspect has also not been released.

It's unknown at this time if the deceased victim is the only person that was injured in this incident, or why the incident even happened in the first place.
