Lubbock Power Outage? We’ve Got Your Back: Essential Tips Inside
Lubbock residents need to know where to go when the power goes out.
Panic In Texas
How crazy is it that the first thing most of us think of when the power goes out is, "Did I pay the electricity bill?". I guess due to your financial situation you may think of that a little more than the rest of us, but trust me when I tell you, all of us have that concern.

Next On The List
Next on our list of concerns is, "Is something wrong with my house?". I guess since everyone's most prized possession is their house, they immediately jump to this conclusion as well. The most likely scenario is that your whole neighborhood and/or street is out. It won't make your life any easier, but it could ease your mind to know you didn't do anything wrong. There is a very simple way to confirm that you and yours are not the problem, and that's to consult the Lubbock Power And Light Outage Map. Chances are fairly high that if your neighborhood is out, LP&L already knows about it (but it doesn't hurt for you to report it either).
It Will Happen Again
We are currently dealing with high winds and March through June is also what is considered to be "Tornado Season" in West Texas. Make sure you're prepared. Being ready can be as little as knowing where a flashlight or matches and a candle are. If you can, make sure you have a batter with radios, and try to always have a little bottled water and something you can eat without heating.
