Believe it or not, Lubbock has some sushi spots that absolutely rock.

For many, sushi is a love-it-or-hate-it food. Some people are turned off by the thought of raw fish — but here’s the truth: not all sushi contains fish. The only real reason to dislike sushi entirely would be if you just don’t like white rice. If you enjoy rice, chances are you can find a sushi roll or combo that hits the spot.

Even in dusty West Texas, there are excellent places to grab sushi. In fact, I’ve never had a bad sushi experience here. Even the sushi from local grocery stores and warehouse clubs is surprisingly good. As long as the ingredients are fresh, sushi is hard to mess up.

A quick note: The more reviews a place has, the more accurate the overall rating. Also, online ratings can vary depending on how you search for “sushi” in each platform.
