The Respondents

I began putting together a few Facebook groups when the pandemic hit. It was important for all of us to have some connection and positivity at that time. Two of the more popular ones are "Uncomfortably Close Pictures Of Food", and "Uncomfortably Close Pictures Of Pets". These pages still rock and have inspired numerous others groups and pages to thrive to this day. I recently started a bit of a "catch all" group called "Postively LBK" to talk about the good things, good businesses, and good people of Lubbock. I recently used this page to ask the question, "Name a Lubbock Restaurant you miss".

Two From My File

The best hamburger I ever had in my life, was at a near-forgotten seafood restaurant. Maybe it was the timing or something, but the best burger was from a place called "Whaler's Bay". If I could go back in time, one thing I'd do is go back and re-eat that hamburger. I also miss a local spot by the name of Shrimp Galley. My apologies to you purists, but I love my seafood deep-fried and Shrimp Galley delivered every time (for some reason they never could get the french fries right though).  It was also strange in that the average age of the clientele in Shrimp Galley was about 70. All of this made the place seem really chill and old-school and I loved it.

So what restaurants do you miss? We have some excellent answers to share with you now:
