Lubbock Woman Killed After Car Crashes Into Overpass Pillar

A woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident Friday morning (Oct. 11) in east Lubbock.

KAMC News reports that police responded to the scene of the crash at about 1 a.m. at East 34th Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard.

52-year-old Sylvia Figeroa was found with serious injuries and pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police say Figeroa was driving northwest on Southeast Drive when she lost control and collided with the center pillar of a bridge.
