One Lubbock family is asking the community for help after receiving devastating news just a day before Christmas eve. The Lubbock Police Department was dispatched just before midnight on Friday, December 23, to 45th Street and Avenue Q on reports of a crash.

KAMC news reported that a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Alekcia Ramirez was traveling north on Avenue Q when she lost control near 45th Street. As a result the vehicle hit a pole barricade along with other vehicles in a lot before rolling over and colliding with a light pole. Ramirez and one of her two passengers, 34-year-old Elias Ramirez, did suffer moderate injuries while the driver was transported to University Medical Center. The third passenger involved in this accident, 32-year-old Jenny Ybarra, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The family of Jenny "Jayy" Ybarra received the call of her passing just before 1 a.m. on Christmas eve morning. Jenny's friends and family remember her as a loving woman and care taker who always asked everyone how they were doing. As well as being a caring person Jenny had just recently had a baby making her a mother of three children.

A GoFundMe has been created by Jenny's family to help pay for funeral expenses due to her unexpected passing just before the holidays. On Jenny's GoFundMe, created by her younger sister, they would like to thank everyone for any donations that are made to help lay her to rest. Any remaining amount from the funeral expenses will go directly to Jenny's three children who lost their mother too soon.
