See How Lubbock Turns Yard Art Into Community Expression
In some places in Texas, people brag about their manicured lawns and delicately watered flowerbeds. In Lubbock, we know better. Our soil doesn't play very nicely with tulips, and the wind doesn't give a damn about your fancy landscaping. Instead, we've created our own art farm: yard art.
Lubbock Yard Art

Front Lawn Story Telling
Yard art in Lubbock and West Texas isn't really about impressing anyone. It's more about telling a story. Every spinner, painted tire, and rusty old tractor carries a slice of who lives here. While some towns might hide their quirks, we've got ours on full display, and we aren't ashamed.
There are SO many more things I could add to the list of strange West Texas yard art. Can you think of any off the top of your head? Let me know! Tell me in a comment on the article or email me at Chrissy.Covington@townsquaremedia.com and show me your yard art!
