It's very possible you know Laiven. She graduated Frenship High School and stayed in her hometown to attend Texas Tech. She is currently a sophomore, but her semester was derailed a few days ago when she discovered she has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Laiven is hospitalized, and will have to go through several rounds of chemotherapy. The three-year survival rate for adults with ALL who have undergone all appropriate treatments is 25 to 50 percent. Without those treatments, it's much more grim.

You can help Laiven and her family offset her living expenses, gas and day-to-day expenses by contributing to the GoFundMe that was set up for her. From the page:

Laiven and her family need your help. With the possibility of traveling back and forth for chemo, hospital, gas, hotel, and many other bills can get expensive very quick. We ask that you would donate to Laiven to help with these costs, and help make this process a little easier. We also ask for your prayers as Laiven fights this.

Another wonderful way you can help Laiven, and people like her, is to become a bone marrow donor. Bone Marrow transplants are very successful therapy for folks with ALL.

It's free and easy to add yourself to a Bone Marrow registry. You can be the match that saves lives. I'm on the list, are you?
