This year, Lubbock missed out on its annual Pride event, a gathering of folks usually held at Maxey Park for a day full of live music, keynote speakers, drag performers, vendors, and helpful organizations. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided "better safe than sick."

Luckily, thanks at least in part to the efforts of my spiritual mommy Emologie Raven, Lubbock will have its first-ever Pride parade, and it will be in the Depot District. A perfect setting for a celebration, in my opinion.

Lubbock’s first pride parade is happening! It’s time we’re heard and seen,, super proud to be a part of this!
Parade will begin on 18th and Ave Q down 18th st and end at new Club Rewind and Depot Ave where the Depot Ave will be hosting food, shows and vendors!
I’ll be speaking to other bars who are open in the depot to join us SATURDAY JUNE 20th!
