Massive ‘Saturday Night Live’ Archive Donated to The University of Texas
Well, this isn't a win for Lubbock, BUT, it's a win for Texas. I'll take it!
Lorne Michaels, creator of the greatest sketch comedy show of ALL time, "Saturday Night Live" just donated the show's entire archive to the University of Texas.
The collection is essentially all of the documentation of Michael's esteemed career and reaches back to his earliest writings for shows other than SNL, like "The Beautiful Phyllis Diller Show" and "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In".

You'll be able to scope out all of the cool stuff at The Harry Ransom Center at UT in Austin next September when they plan to put the archive into an exhibit.
Sounds like a great reason to plan a trip to Austin. I'm pretty good at coming up with excuses to skip town and take road trips there. This SNL archive is a great one to add to my list.
SO COOL FRACKIN' COOL, DUDE...
Are you a big SNL fan? I grew up in a home that watched it every single Saturday night and I carried that tradition into my adult life. I especially love the older seasons with my late great faves Chris Farley, John Belushi, and Norm Macdonald. Those hit the spot when I'm looking for a chuckle.
