Lubbock Police have made an arrest in a kidnapping case that occurred last November.

Dacorious Tyquis Mooreing (21) was arrested and charged with Aggravated Kidnapping after demanding a Texas Tech student drive him and another suspect around as they attempted to commit crimes.

The victim told Texas Tech police he was held at gunpoint and forced to surrender his cell phone and credit cards in addition to driving the suspects around town.

The victim also stated that the two men were looking to steal a car so they could drive back home to Oklahoma.

KAMC News reports a Crime Line tip was pivotal in the arrest of Mooreing, who later confessed to the crime and gave police the name of the second suspect.

According to court documents, charges for Aggravated Robbery and Credit/Debit Card Abuse are being investigated and could be pursued.

Mooreing is being held in the Lubbock County Jail on $250,000 bond.
