Let's just say we'd be stunned if this new film doesn't make it to the Hub City.

Tickets for Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning go on sale this Thursday, and that's when we should get a much better picture of exactly where the film will be playing. We have no guarantee that Lubbock will be on the list, but we'd say it's a pretty safe bet.

After all, Lubbock has gotten the Oasis, Iron Maiden and Ghost concert films, and Linkin Park: Unshatter is playing here on the 30th. At this point, it certainly seems like Trafalgar Releasing knows there's an audience for these movies in the Hub City.

And with no disrespect to any of those other artists, Back To The Beginning was an event on an entirely different level.

What we do know is that the movie hits theaters beginning October 28th for a limited run.

We also now know the movie runs about two and a half hours — 2 hours and 27 minutes, to be exact. That's a pretty significant upgrade from the originally announced 100-minute version.

And let's give the filmmakers some credit here. It had to be incredibly tough to take roughly 10 hours of performances from that historic day and whittle everything down to just 2 hours and 27 minutes.

We feel good enough about this thing landing in Lubbock that we're going to go ahead and arrange a giveaway. If the worst happens and it doesn't play here, you can always pass your codes along to a friend who lives close to a theater showing it.

So, how about it?

Do you want to see the final performances of Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath and a ridiculous collection of their friends on the big screen? We will draw for winner on October 22nd!
