Papa Roach Headlines The 42nd FMX Birthday Bash
I was just thinking the other day that I could use another Papa Roach show.
The very first time I saw Papa Roach was at the FMX Firecracker Five show, which was an Off-fest day (a day away from Ozzfest). From the minute I saw Jacoby Shaddix on stage (then known as Coby Dick) I knew the game had changed. I think that Jacoby was the greatest frontman since David Lee Roth and I will die on that hill. Of course, Jacoby does things his own way, but he commands attention like no other.
It has been twenty-two years since we were introduced to the band in Lubbock, and it has been five years since the last time they played here. All of this is more reasons why we've decided to christen this show, "The 42nd FMX Birthday Bash".
The band is now eleven albums deep and considered to be "elder statements' in the nu-metal scene, which is to say there are tons of new bands coming up that took their inspiration from Papa Roach. They have also released 36 singles so I'm only going to mention a few here:
*Last Resort
*Broken Home
*Getting Away With Murder
*Scars
*...To Be Loved
*Forever
*Lifeline
*I Almost Told You I Loved You
*Burn
*Still Swinging
*Where Did The Angels Go?
*Leader Of The Broken Hearts
*Gravity
*Help
*Who Do You Trust
*Come Around
*Kill The Noise
No Apologies
*Cut The Line
Do you see where I'm going with the song list here? There are songs I didn't even mention that hit number one. This band can play nothing but top five songs for hours!
This is also one of those shows that some fans will go to just for one of the opening acts. One of the most talked about bands out there, Spiritbox, is also on the bill.
