Popular Lubbock Podcaster Interviews Mayor McBrayer in Latest Episode

LUBBOCK, Texas- The Snake Pit With Rattlesnake Roy, a popular local podcast by Roy Junior Perez, featured Lubbock's mayor, Mark McBrayer, as the guest on their latest episode.

Perez was excited to have the opportunity to sit down with McBrayer, ask him what it's like to run our city, and clarify some popular misconceptions about what a mayor has control over.

I found the episode insightful and a great way to get to know the man at the helm of The Hub City.

I actually went to high school with McBrayer's son, who was always respectful and kind to me in class, leaving me to assume he came from pretty good stock.

McBrayer taking time from his busy schedule to hang out in a garage and record a podcast with one of my friends is pretty cool and shows how much he cares about our city. I'm impressed.

You may not agree with some of McBrayer's politics, but the fact that he made himself available to talk about his job and answer some of the questions rolling around in our brains is definitely something. He seems very genuine in his desire to make Lubbock a city we can be proud to call home.
