Dirty Words

I have a filthy mouth, it's majorly filthy. I needed to see these slides to help me with my problem. There is something about cursing that makes you feel like you're releasing some stress. Experts say that you are getting a little dab 'o dopamine from your brain, so I guess all of this is backed up by science. Personally if I'm cursing because I'm stressed, I'm usually immediately regretful afterwards. Now, cursing for fun? I'm all in with that.

Keep It Clean

We all still have that societal prohibition about cursing around kids. It almost, and I did say almost, doesn't make sense because in a lot of cases the kids have already heard every single foul mouth thing you've said a million times before. I tend to go with the "there are no bad words, there are just bad intentions" school of thought. In other words, it's not what you're saying, it's how you're saying it, or even who you're saying it to.

Is It Worth It?

One more item. On many levels I find replacement curse words ridiculous. If someone says "Oh fudge!" you know what word they really wanted to use so it brings that word to mind anyway. It seems like a very self-defeating practice to me. However, it doesn't hurt to try and with that in mind, I suggest you pick up some of these clean curse words and try them in place of your naughty's!
