I have to tell you that I LOVED the last Rob Zombie album. I love the new song "Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Supertown". I also love covers. With all this said, after hearing this cover, all I kept thinking was "was this necessary"? It's not 100% true to the original, but darn close. It's really not much difference than when one of those kids on the singing shows add their little spice to a song. More after the jump.

This almost reeks of, "damn we need one more song for the album so let's do a cover".  Don't get me wrong, but there's just no real reason for it to exist.  I would even go so far as to say that Jackyl's version of the same song is BETTER.  At least Jackyl added a little southern hillbilly love god vibe to their version.  You'd think Rob would add a little sinister twist to his version or something, but he does nothing more than snarl once or twice.  Yeah, when I get a copy of the album, I'm immediately making a copy that leaves this song off.
