Jimenez Y Friends Hosts A Rare Dinner To Help Pit Bull Rescue

I am so excited about this, because, well, it’s everything.

We like to do what we can to help out the pet population in Lubbock, and I really think we have a home run here. It’s food, it’s friends, it’s RockShow nonsense, and it’s all for a great cause.

In short, it’s The RockShow’s Absolutely Amazing Plates For Pets at Jimenez Y Friends. The good people at Jimenez have stepped up in a big way, and we’re doing $11 all-in plates, tax included, with profits from the event going to Saving Grace Pit Bull Rescue.

A Special Jimenez Y Friends Event For A Great Cause

Now, let’s unpack this a bit. First off, Jimenez Y Friends usually isn’t open for dinner. They do breakfast and lunch hours, but this special event will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., or until we sell out. During that time, we’ll be doing one plate only: Smothered Picadillo Burritos with chips and hot sauce included.

This gives our friends who can’t get by during regular hours a chance to experience that taste of Jimenez that so many of us already love. If you know, you know. If you don’t know, this is your chance to fix that.

But wait, it gets better. Blue Bell Ice Cream stepped up and gave us 100 mini cups of Homemade Vanilla to pass along while they last. So yes, you can help dogs, eat Jimenez, and maybe score a little Blue Bell too.

There will be no limit to the number of plates you can purchase, and The RockShow will be on hand to help you to your car if needed. This all goes down Saturday, August 1st at 4606 34th from 3:00-5:00.

Lastly, we did a quick poll on one of our sites and had Saving Grace Pit Bull Rescue mentioned several times, so we decided they would be our beneficiary for this event. I have a couple of these big babies in my life, so this was a perfect fit.
