“Season Of Giving” Blood Drive Gets Underway On Monday

'Tis the season to give the gift of life as United Blood Services encourages everyone to take part in the 2014 "Season of Giving" Blood Drive.

The "Season of Giving" drive gets underway this Monday, October 13, and runs through October 18 from United Blood Services at 48th/University. Everyone who takes the time to be a hero right here on the South Plains will receive the 2014 edition t-shirt and a pint of Blue Bell ice cream..

Everyday we'll give-away one $50 Visa Gift Card and a 5-piece comforter set from Ashley Furniture. At weeks end--one winner will take home a deluxe Ashley recliner and another lucky winner scores a PlayStaion4. Those who bring a new (unwrapped toy) get an additional prize entry and help out Toy for Tots in the process.

Blood donation requirements are simple: You must be at least 16, be in good health, and have a valid identification.

Center hours for this week are:

• Monday-Thursday-12:00-7 p.m.
• Friday-9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
• Saturday-9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
