HOUSTON, TEXAS - Authorities are searching for a man who crashed his Ford Expedition at 100 mph on the 5000 Block of Yale, abandoned his injured wife and four children, and fled the scene after being picked up by an unknown individual.

Critical Injuries Among Passangers in Houston, Texas Collision

The speeding Expedition made contact with a Chevy Avalanche that was illegally turning right from the inside lane, forcing the Expedition from the roadway and into a bayou. The man then failed to render aid to his family, exited the vehicle, made a run for it, and hopped into another vehicle, which carried him away from the scene.

The man's eldest child, an 8-year-old, was ejected from the vehicle. The other three children were toddlers and were not ejected, but they were injured.

The man's wife and all of the children were taken to nearby hospitals following the incident. Three are listed in critical but stable condition, and two are listed in serious but stable condition.

Luckily, no injuries were reported for anyone in the Chevy Avalanche.
