With larger and larger lottery prizes, more and more questions come into play.

How Much Money Are We Talkin'? 

We recently had a lottery prize up for grabs of about $1.6 billion. That amount of money is hard to really calculate in your brain. I'm going to help you with that just a bit. A Ford F-150 is about $37,350. With $1.6 billion, you could buy about 42,832 of them. To put that in further perspective, you could buy a Ford F-150 for every person who attends Texas Tech and still have close to 1800 of them left for the staff. $1.6 billion dollars is a ton of loot.

There's Room To Go A Little Crazy

With $1.6 billion you could probably put all your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews through college and still have tons and tons of money left over. What I'm getting at is, with that kind of money you can do all the responsible and all of the silly things you want. I refuse to believe that anyone with that kind of money is going to spend all of it responsibly. The only question seems to be, how much of it will go to silliness?

The Answers To The Big Question

We asked our friends on social media what they spend some of that loot on and the answers are all over the place. Some people still want to spend the loot responsibly and others have some really wild ideas. Then again, it's my feeling that the people who say they're going to spend it responsibly are just saying that to bargain with the universe for a chance to prove it. I will straight up admit, if I came into that kind of money, some dumb things are going to happen, hopefully just not too many of them.
