A new song from Slayer is coming! Nearly a year since Slayer premiered the new track "Implode" at the 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards, the thrash legends are planning to unveil "When the Stillness Comes" on Record Store Day 2015.

The annual Record Store Day has become one of music's most celebrated new traditions. It was recently revealed that the unofficial holiday will take place on April 18 this year, and right on the heels of that announcement, Slayer have revealed a limited edition (5000 copies available worldwide) 7-inch picture disc for "When the Stillness Comes." But that's just Side A -- Side B will be pressed with a live performance of "Black Magic" from the 2014 Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.

The pressing itself looks amazing. "When the Stillness Comes" is engraved with misty blue sections with some classic blood-red splatters for good measure. There's even more blood on Side B for "Black Magic." In fact, it's almost entirely caked in blood topped with Slayer's menacing inverted cross and band logo.

In other Record Store Day news, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has been named the official ambassador of Record Store Day 2015. A Record Store Day press release credits Grohl with pulling together “the ethos and attitude of Record Story Day for artists and fans alike.” The release continues to call Grohl “a legend whether at the mic with a guitar, behind a drum kit or in the director’s chair for a documentary feature film or HBO series.”

Of course, Grohl happily accepted the honor, penning a statement on his long and fruitful relationship with the record store industry.
