So Sweet! Jellyroll Spends Time Before Concert Helping Lubbock Folks In Need
How do most celebrities spend the hours before they go on stage? Getting dressed, napping, relaxing- and it's totally understandable. They have to put on a big performance after long, arduous hours on the road.
Unless you're Jellyroll.
Just a few hours before his sold-out performance at the United Spirit Area, Jellyroll spent his time in Lubbock volunteering at Lubbock's Grace Campus (1301 Ave A), a transitional facility for unhoused folks here in Lubbock.
From Grace Campus:
You gotta love the amazing music Jelly Roll creates, his beautiful testimony… and most of all, you gotta love his big heart for others!!! Just hours before his concert last night he was at Grace Campus serving pizza, putting a smile on every face, and being a physical reminder that there is hope! Thank you for an unforgettable evening Jelly Roll!!!! We will never forget it!!
Jellyroll has been incredibly candid about his past, including his time spent in prison. He is clearly an example of how- even if we hit rock bottom- we are still capable of bouncing back. In Jellyroll's case, his "bounce" has been astronomical. But he maintains humility and humbleness and has a heart for service. I love that.
If you also have a heart for service and would like to be as cool as Jellyroll, Grace Campus has volunteer opportunities and a list of daily needs that you can help fulfill.
Thank you Grace Campus for the incredibly important service you provide for our community, and for allowing me to share these amazing pictures of Jellyroll, right here in Lubbock.
