Some Gentle Reminders About Sold-Out Shows In Lubbock
Hey Lubbock,
I love you so much, you are my darling little baby. But here are a couple of gentle reminders about sold-out shows.
Trust me, I understand why you would want to wait to get show tickets when reschedules and cancellations happen.
However, I'd like you to consider something major in that equation: venue.
Well, a specific venue: Jake's Backroom. Jake's offers an exciting, amazing, and intimate concert experience. You can see the band members' sweat!
So if you know you want to see a show at Jakes, like the now sold-out Toadies show, go ahead and get your tickets in advance.
And remember, for most Jake's shows, you can purchase hard tickets at Ralph's Records (82nd and Indiana) which in general are much easier to either get a refund on or to sell later if you need to, which brings me to my next point-
EVERYONE SELLING TICKETS IN FACEBOOK COMMENTS IS A SCAM.
Or at least, you should always assume that. 99.9% of those "sellers" are just bots that find words like "tickets" "show" "concert" etc.
The bot leaves those comments, and then when you message that account, someone from another country will gladly take your Cash App or Venmo, and you will get nothing in return.
Only purchase tickets from people you actually know and wait to give them cash until you have tickets in hand. Don't get disappointed twice!
Facebook doesn't do enough to filter out these scammers, so it's on the page owner to spend all day deleting those bots.
If you managed to get Toadies tickets, I am very excited to see you soon. It's going to be epic!
