A Lubbock man has been charged in relation to a robbery that happened at an EZ Mart on Friday, November 8th.

Twenty-three-year-old Traven Shamar Madkins has been charged with aggravated robbery, but was originally arrested in Nolan County on unrelated charges.

KAMC News reports that Madkins allegedly entered the EZ Mart at 7402 Quaker Avenue and asked for a tobacco product. He then displayed a handgun in his waistband and asked for the money from the register and from the safe in the store.

After he was told the safe was on a time lock and couldn't be accessed, he apparently stole money from the register and ran.
