It's a project that's caused some controversy, and now, it's causing some stress to area businesses. The bricks on historic Broadway Street are being removed as part of a larger renovation, including bike lanes, the planting of trees, and more. But for now, the construction is impeding business access for folks who still deserve our support.

Sweet Creations at 1308 Broadway in Lubbock Is Still Open

The owner of Sweet Creations recently took to social media to share that the business is still open and still ready to serve Lubbock with decadent treats, gorgeous custom cakes, and delicious breakfast sandwiches. The items available at Sweet Creations are truly unique, and if you've never been, I'd like to personally recommend the banana pudding. You can see the gorgeous custom cakes and other goodies here. Sweet Creations has been in the baking business for 10 years, which is an incredible milestone.

Where to Park Near Sweet Creations During Construction

Parking directly in front of the business is blocked so construction can complete underground improvements; however, there is plenty of parking across the street and behind the business. If you are unable or do not want to make the very short walk, you can call the business, and they will bring your order out to you.

Construction Will Affect Other Area Businesses Too

Seet Creations is dealing with construction woes directly in front of their business, and other area businesses will have the same problem too. Additionally, some people (understandably) won't go near construction like this, meaning other area businesses will feel the pinch. However, the livelihood of many people depends on your visiting downtown Lubbock. I hope that you can still find the time and patience to deal with a little construction to get to your favorite spot, or to try something new.
