There are horrible things happening in Syria.  People are being killed an imprisoned by the government.  Across the world people are wondering if world powers should step in.  It may be a little less violent, but the same thing happens every day in America.

I know when I was little and in school people always asked me what my favorite class was

Only a small number of states currently have laws on the books allowing medical marijuana, but help may be on the horizon for patients in other states who could benefit from the ingredients in cannabis plants — clinical trials are currently underway for the world’s first pharmaceutical developed from raw marijuana instead of synthetic equivalents.

I'm about to have a new favorite show. It's called "Weed Wars."

I really like this story even though there is very little comedy to it. It shows what happens when you give people a voice and a direct line to the government.  More after the jump.

Everything Lubbock is reporting that Sheriff Kelly Rowe is requesting big bucks to fight big challenges in the drug war.  I have very mixed feelings about this.

I do not smoke marijuana,that is why I think it’s important to speak up.  Too often people or organizations have too much self-interest in a fight to make the fight credible.  My only interest is sanity.  More after the jump.

A science teacher grows it (allegedly).  KCBD is reporting that Lubbock police were able to make a couple of buys within the last month and took the teacher into custody today.  It's not all fun and games though, CPS had to be called to take care of the teachers children.  More, including a light-hearted video after the jump.

Montel Williams was busted for drug paraphernalia at the Milwaukee airport.  Montel is an advocate for medical marijuna and says he smokes it to relieve the chronic pain of Multiple Sclerosis.  Thoughts and links coming up.
