The familiar sight of carnival rides off the interstate in Lubbock was a welcome addition to 2020. But it almost didn't happen.

This year's South Plains Fair will still start in late September, but with one major change.

This year's fair will start on September 25 and continue through October 3.

The auditiorium was packed and it was great to see so many peopole ready to enjoy seeing one of the iconic bands of our youth (gone wild).

This week is fair week in Lubbock, and the Lubbock Police Department has issued a warning to make sure that nobody makes the same mistake one teenager made.

Lubbock Police have come out and said that a post on social media claiming there will be a shooting at the South Plains Fair is "baseless."
