Texas barbeque fans aren't satisfied with just smoking meat, they'll smoke just about everything around them, from potatoes, to cream cheese, and now a whole bunch of snacks.

We get looped in to the barbeque crowd via our friends, in this case Wes Wicker of Big Wick's. Big Wick's makes assorted glazes that make for some ultra-delicious finishes on just about anything coming off the grill (I also like to dip egg rolls and wontons in it).  Big Wick's also has a fantastic smoked jalapeno ranch mix that must be tasted to be believed.

If you didn't know, the Texas barbeque circuit is pretty massive. There is a lot going on. I'll admit that most of it is "rubs" and everyone has a favorite one (or six). That's why we were surprised when we were presented with something very unique.

The brand is called "Low And Slow" and their claim to fame is they actually use real wood smoke on snack items. I'm talking chips, corn chips, cheese puffs, or my favorite jalapeno cheese puffs. Each has that unique real barbeque smoke flavor.

I guess Low and Slow couldn't just be a Dallas and Texas secret, because their snack has already spread across the U.S. so much that they've had to add a store locator to thier website. These guys are actually bringing Texas barbeque smoke as far away as Alaska.

Low And Slow is a "small batch" company, and inventory changes often. You can shop on their website if not available in a store near you. It's another Texas product that we can all be proud of!
