Texas Ice Cream Lovers, Let’s Rally for This Blue Bell Flavor

Texas is still enjoying the taste of the latest Blue Bell Ice Cream release, Banana Fudge. I still have some in my freezer and plan on picking up even more before this limited release is gone. I would suggest you do the same because it's that special.

I am always stunned when our local Blue Bell man brings the latest releases by. I never would have guessed the Strawberry Toaster Pastry, or that they'd do a Gooey Butter Cake that would turn out so amazing. I've frequently thought, "What will they think of next?" and "What would I think of next?"

I've Been Pushing For It

I have told the same Blue Bell guy for a couple of years now what I want. He always gives me that "I'm just a salesman, not an ice cream scientist" look. My request, and there's plenty of time to get this done is, "Pecan Pie". Hang on and I'll make my case.

A Texas Thing

First off, Blue Bell is Texas. They're in Brenham, Texas as a matter of fact. Pecans and pecan pie are really big things in Texas. Blue Bell has done "Buttered Pecan" and "Texas Sheet Cake" (which contains pecans), but not Pecan Pie. One thing I've found is that Blue Bell has the technology to put those pieces of pie crust in ice cream and still keep them crunchy. It's time to step up Blue Bell. All I want for Christmas is Pecan Pie Blue Bell.
