Choices

The difference between tacos and burritos has always confused me. This confusion mainly comes from the fact that I've seen obvious burritos called tacos. I guess all the confusion could end if we'd agree to the fact that tacos are folded and burritos are rolled. Would it be too much to ask for everyone to just accept that little fact?

The Season

Now that we've established what a burrito is, did you know there is a "burrito season". I had *ZERO* idea of this and never heard the term until today. If you ask me, and practically every single Texan out there, they'll tell you that every day is a burrito season. Not only do we knock back regular burritos on the reg, we've doubled down and have breakfast burritos too. That's a lot of burritos.

Why It Matters

So where does the term "burrito season" come from, and why is it making news. Apparently Chipotle (which is delicious) needs an influx of workers during the Spring and plan on hiring close to 20,000 people to handle the rollin' duties. Chipotle is the exception when it comes to fast-food restaurants and have actually seen their sales grow, at least during "burrito season".

Let's Rethink This

I like the idea of a "burrito season", but an still confused as to why people buy more or less burritos during any time of the year. I would think that I nice warm burrito would be an excellent choice in cold weather, so I don't know why there would be a surge in the spring. I will, however, jump on the trend and make mine a carne guisada with cheese!

Most Remaining Casa Ole Locations In Texas, Here's Where To Find Them

Back in its heyday, it seems like most Texas towns were saying, "Fresh Today! Casa Ole!" However, it appears that only 16 Casa Oles are still in operation, and 15 of those are in Texas.
