Texas Taste Sensation: Big Wick’s Drops Nacogdoches Blueberry
Texas taste buds are in for a treat.
Confession
The first time Wes Wicker gave me jar of his jalapeno jelly it sat for a long time. There were two problems, #1. I really don't like sweet with my savory, and #2. We were concerned that it would be too hot for our liking. I guess just being around Wes forced me to try the product and now I am a HUGE fan.
The Change-Up
The original "jelly" is now a glaze and I think that rethinking of the product made all the difference in the world. The taste of the Big Wick's Jalapeno Glaze has now been shipped pretty much worldwide. It's popular with the best of the best barbeque chefs and as a fantastic Texas gift for friends and family out of state.

Lucky Us
Locally we get another big bonus, and that is Big Wick's special limited releases. They can be purchased on the website, but more make their way to places like Drug Emporium and Raider Red Meats. In the past we've enjoyed strawberry, cactus, peach and the super-hot Fuego (Still available!). Big Wick's also has a Smoked Jalapeno Ranch mix that is to die for as a dip, dressing, or marinade.
The New Thang
Big Wick's latest entry is the still Texas-centric Nacogdoches Blueberry. You get that fruity delicious flavor with jalapeno notes in the background. The two, like with the other flavors, give the product a flavor that is both fun, and a little sophisticated at the same time. These flavors work great with just about any protein, and/or just poured over a block of cream cheese as a dip. Nacogdoches Blueberry is available for a very limited time.
