Texas Tech alumnus Ivan Hall is making his return to find love on Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise.

Hall was first introduced to the Bachelor Nation during Season 16 of The Bachelorette, where he made it to the final three before being sent home by the bachelorette, Tayshia Adams. Hall was a fan favorite of many (including myself), but was respectfully sent home due to religious differences between him and Adams.

Hall has been announced as a part of the cast for this year’s season of Bachelor in Paradise, which will start airing next Monday, August 16th, 2021.

I was a fan of his even before finding out he went to Texas Tech, but knowing that just reassured me that I was a fan for good reason. Hall grew up in Plano, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech in 2015 with a degree in industrial engineering. After he graduated, he went on to work as a software quality engineer for the aerospace technology company Lockheed Martin in Dallas, Texas.

I was excited to see that he will be making his return in this year’s Bachelor in Paradise because I think he is a good guy that deserves to find love. I know that trying to find love on a TV show isn’t really my vibe, but it seems to work for some people.

I'm a believer that the Bachelor in Paradise seasons are overall more effective at forming strong relationships compared to the standard Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons. Bachelor in Paradise simulates a more realistic dating culture with multiple men and women interacting rather than just one man or one woman with many suitors. Of course, it's still reality TV, so it isn't the ideal dating environment, and you never know how much of it is scripted or played up for the camera.

I'm excited to see if Hall is able to find a genuine connection through this process. Red Raiders have to stick together, and I'll be rooting for him the whole way.
